School fire prevention should pay close attention to three locations

The school is a place where people gather and is a key unit of fire safety. 1. The school's chemical laboratory. The chemical laboratory has both a heat source and a chemical agent, as well as a considerable amount of electrical equipment, which is very susceptible to fire due to improper personnel operation or equipment failure.

2. Computer room. Factors such as the large number of electrical equipment in the computer room, the long running time of the machine, the large amount of power consumption, and the unqualified electrical wiring or poor contact can all cause fires.

3. Libraries, archives and reading rooms. A large number of books, materials and video products are stored in these places. The flow of people is frequent and the electrical equipment is used for a long time. It is easy to cause fires due to leftover fires or electrical circuit failures. When fumigating and killing insects on books, because the insecticides are flammable and explosive, if used improperly, they may also cause fire.

Preventive measures are as follows:

1. In the laboratory, frequently carry out distillation, filtration, electrolysis and other fire hazard operations, and use more fire and electricity. In this regard, the school must formulate strict experimental procedures and laboratory fire safety systems. The electrical equipment of the laboratory should meet the explosion-proof requirements; the laboratory should have more than two safe evacuation outlets; the commonly used hazardous chemicals or the total remaining amount of the laboratory should not exceed 5 kg; the laboratory should take reliable fire safety measures.

Second, the computer room is the focus of fire prevention. The outer walls, partition walls, carpets and decorative walls of the computer room should be constructed with non-combustible materials, the air-conditioning system should be equipped with interlocking devices, and the insulation materials of the ventilation ducts should be difficult to burn or non-combustible materials. The laboratory must strictly follow the electrical operation regulations, and take measures to prevent moisture and rat bites in the cable trench; apply detergent when wiping the machine, and do not use flammable liquids.

3. When leaving the library and archives, the staff must cut off the power to confirm that there is no leftover fire before leaving. Do not use tungsten iodine lamps for lighting in the library; when using incandescent lamps, the distance to combustibles should not be less than 50 cm; no electrical appliances should be used in the library. Libraries and archives shall be designed and constructed in strict accordance with the "Code for Fire Protection of Architectural Design", indoor and outdoor fire water supply equipment shall be installed, automatic fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing systems shall be installed, and sufficient fire extinguishing equipment shall be provided. It is necessary to strengthen daily fire prevention management and strictly control the use of fire. When killing insects in libraries and archives, safe and reliable measures should be taken under the guidance of relevant personnel.

4. Schools should strengthen fire safety publicity and education, improve the fire safety awareness of teachers and students throughout the school, and at the same time increase the investigation of illegal use of electrical appliances in schools to reduce potential safety hazards.
