Wang Sicheng: There is only space for polysilicon in the entire industry chain?

In 2010, the global production of solar cells was actually 24 GW. The output of mainland China exceeded 10 GW, accounting for 45% of the world, and Taiwan accounted for 60%. From the perspective of the installed capacity of the world, the first three countries are Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic, and Japan and the United States are less than 1 GW.

Although the cumulative installed capacity in the world has reached 40 GW, the applications in different countries are not the same. Ninety percent of Japan is home-use systems. Germany, the United States, and Italy account for the largest proportion of commercial construction, and Spain has the largest number of large-scale power stations. In the next few years, the trend of the PV market is expected to be 21GW in 2011 and 25GW in 2012, but there will be an increase thereafter. The market layout in 2011 is about 7GW in Germany, and the United States predicts that it is 2.2G this year, but in reality it is different from this and may not reach the target; Japan's PV trend will not change much, it will still be 100GW in 2020; India is 20GW, Although more optimistic, but the current total is not large.

In the entire component of the price reduction space, all aspects almost bottomed out. The silicon wafer has reached the cost price of 0.7 U.S. dollars per watt. There is no room for price cuts. The solar cell costs $1 per watt (that is, 0.7 euros per watt), and the module actually dropped to 1.05 euros per watt in May. (1.45 The average price of USD/W), the actual contract price has dropped by about 10%. The price of polysilicon in May is 62 US dollars / kg, there is still some room for decline.

At present, Germany’s policies are undergoing major adjustments. The new policy will take effect on January 1, 2012. The most important is the adjustment of electricity price subsidies. According to the plan, the national goal for 2020 is 52GW.

It is worth mentioning that Italy, Canada, India, and other countries proposed conditions for compulsory local manufacturing and were opposed by the United States and Germany. Now the goal of the global photovoltaic industry is to reduce the cost of the entire PV. If they are all engaged in local manufacturing, this goal is contrary to this goal. Strong competition for the introduction of carbon tax policy is also a general trend. Assessment of the carbon footprint of companies should attract the attention of Chinese companies.
